Research
This project is part of the EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) IEEE program. In this project, we propose to monitor 1000 olive trees and their olive fruits in an olive field in Western Turkey and establish an early warning system to constantly inform farmers of the status of their trees and advise them of the likely outcome of their harvest and measure to be taken to avoid a low harvest or poor-quality fruits.
Underwater noise measurements are carried out using custom hydrophones. Time labeling of water transports, detection of marine species, and extraction of underwater noise maps. The TÜBİTAK project "Analysis and Modeling of Underwater Sections in the Turkish Straits System" is being conducted collaboratively out in collaboration with Istanbul University`s Institute of Marine Sciences and Management, Department Of Physical Oceanography And Marine Biology.
High precision geophones are used in our study of Seismic events. The list of our previous projects include: Earthquake Data Analysis, Animal-Human-Vehicle Detection, Localization, etc.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Emrah Çoraman advises us on our bat research and shares his knowledge and experience with us. We thank Prof. Dr. Emrah Çoraman and his team.
The edited footage on the left belongs to one of our field surveys. To record this video, we utilized four thermal and NV cameras arranged alongside four microphones with high-frequency sampling rates all stored in an array.
There are many different types of cameras in our laboratory:
"FaceCapt", an ArtGe Inc. project, is developed by the academy-industry cooperation. Currently, it is being actively used at the entrance of ARIS LAB.
Camera Array Processing, Object Detection, Segmentation, Liveliness, Temprature Measurements, etc.
Senior Design Project of Bachelor Students Yiğit Tabak and Deha Diker.
