Dr. Umut Fırat, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tayfun Akgül, was awarded the "Most Successful Scientific Application in University-Industry Cooperation in the Doctoral Thesis Category" at the 22nd TESID Innovation and Creativity Awards organized by the Turkish Electronics Industrialists Association (TESID) for his doctoral thesis titled "Compressive Sensing of Cyclostationary Propeller Noise." The award was presented to him on December 11, 2024, during the award ceremony by Prof. Dr. Sıddık Yarman, Prof. Dr. İlhan Kocaarslan, and Prof. Dr. Semih Bilgen, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Okan University.
